I bought this jacket for outdoor, winter chores in Michigan. The jacket is great and is very warm, too warm for me on some winter days but great for colder ones.

I am a bit of a hot body anyways so I get warm easily so prefer to dress in layers and it's ideal for that. For me it was a bit large for just wearing with a t-shirt but perfect for wearing with a hooded sweatshirt "up-north" .

My wife bought my old Carhartt which had finally worn out. (My definition of worn out is holes in the sleeves) Wore the old one for at least 10 years as a shop coat which got LOTS of wear and lots of washings.

As a long time carhartt. User it met my expectations great all around every day coat durable and warm. Don't have to worry about durability or longevity. The coat will probably last longer then me.
